CES 2014 and The Social Media Show once again collide for more tech packed action at this year’s show. The convention set record breaking numbers this year and displayed the latest and greatest technology and gadgets for 2014. International CES (Consumer Electronics Show) takes place in Las Vegas every January. It has served as the proving ground for innovators and technologies for over 40 years before they head into the marketplace. CES showcases more than 3,200 exhibitors, including manufacturers, developers and suppliers of consumer technology hardware, content, technology delivery systems and more; a conference program with more than 300 sessions; and more than 152,000 attendees from more than 150 countries. Asia Jade joins us from the Las Vegas Convention Center where she ran into writer, model, poet and friend to The Social Media Show Khalilah Yasmin. Kahlilah was working CES representing Toshiba.
Yasmin starts off the interviewing stating she had worked CES for Toshiba last year at the 2013 show. She says Toshiba is her favorite company out of all the companies she has worked for at this particular show in past years. The interview took place in the future section of their display where there were a lot of prototypes. Jade proceeded to ask Yasmin what exactly the sinks mounted against the wall were for. Khalilah explained that what was being displayed were the mirrors above the sink. Words such as “Good Morning” and “Have A Nice Day” were being displayed. Not only will it display friendly messages but it will also give you a report on your vitals by connecting to a special bracelet that you wear.
The discussion moved to what new projects Khalilah was working on. She told us she is currently writing a book but could not give away any specific details at this time. Khalilah is an extremely talented writer so we are excited to find out what it’s about. She did tell Asia however, she recently has become the face of the extremely popular Las Vegas thrill ride “Sky Jump” appearing on their billboard. Sky Jump is located at the top of The Stratosphere on the 108th floor. Khalilah encourages everyone who comes to or lives in Las Vegas to try Sky Jump, she even said “Tell them Khalilah sent you.”
