Our CES 2014 coverage from the Las Vegas Convention Center continues with Dish and the new Curved TV’s from Hisense. Our very own Asia Jade was out and about the show floor for The Social Media Show giving us the latest and greatest updates on these innovative products. Jade started the interview with Hisense mentioning that local Las Vegas Strip act the Jabbawockeez were performing on their stage during the show. They are promoting their new show called Prism. People were hash tagging both “Jabbawockeez” and “Hisense” during the performances on Social Media. This is just one example of how entertainment and technology collaborated at a record breaking attendance year at CES. The Social Media portals were going crazy hash tags of #CES and #CES2014.
Curved TV’s were a very popular technology product at the trade show and Asia made sure to stop by to check them out. The 65 inch H8 Curved HD TV’s boast a 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution and a vibrant 120Hz making the viewer feel like they are actually there. Some other features include being equipped for Android and dozens of SMART TV features including Netflix, Vudu HD Movies, Amazon Instant Video, Pandora, Chrome, Youtube, and is certified by Google Play. Getting access to digital content is a very easy with the H8’s built-in HDMIx4, WiFi and three USB ports to support 4K video play. Also included is the VIDAA user interface, AirBridge™ Digital Media Player and Receiver and state-of-the-art Merlin™ Air Mouse remote control.
Asia then made her way over to the Dish display on the convention room floor to see what new products and services they had for 2014. Jade directs the conversation to Dish’s kangaroo mascot and how it had been a very popular throughout the convention. People were using Social Media by hash tagging “Joey” on Twitter and Instagram. In their display area that had demonstrations of various products and had several helpful representatives there to assist convention attendees by showing them how all of their technology worked. As Asia mentions, it’s all about the hands on experience for the consumer, not only at the Dish display but all over the CES showroom floor.
